Hemophilia Association of New Jersey

SCHOLARSHIP INFORMATION:

The Publicity and Education Committee of the Hemophilia Association of New Jersey is proud to once again offer scholarships to qualified individuals.

These scholarships are awarded to students who are presently enrolled in an accredited institution of academic and/or vocational higher learning or those beginning a formal program this fall. These awards are based upon financial need and/or academic ability, and are chosen by the Hemophilia Association of New Jersey's Scholarship Committee after careful review.

One of the scholarships will be in honor of Julie E. Frenkel and will be for undergraduate level study. It will honor the memory of our beloved Hemophilia Association of New Jersey Assistant Executive Director, who was fervent in her belief that continuing education is crucial for our community.

Full-time undergraduate students can apply for $1,500 scholarship, renewable for up to three additional years, while enrolled in college or trade school.

The graduate level scholarship has been increased to $2,000 per year and has been named the Paul D. Amitrani Scholarship in memory of our former President and honored member of our community for many years. Full-time graduate students (taking 12 credit hours per semester for two semesters) will apply for $2,000 scholarship, renewable for one additional year. Part-time graduate students (taking 6 credit hours per semester for two semesters-(fall/winter, spring/summer) will apply for a $1,000 scholarship, renewable for three additional years.

As always, the continuance of this scholarship program is dependent upon the generosity of our supporters.

All information will be held in strict confidence; award recipients will be announced at our Annual Meeting. Attendance at our Annual Meeting is required for all scholarship recipients.
